Late Summer Fun

It’s sad, but true – August has already arrived and we are on the late stretch of Summer.  Soon, we will see the beautiful ocean of green trees slowly turn into their saturated reds, oranges and yellows, while the days shorten.

But let’s not think about that.  There is still lots of summer heat and activities to be shared and experienced.  Many families are finishing up their summer holidays, while kids start to prepare the idea that school is returning in a short month.

Sometimes we look back on our summer fun and realize that we didn’t fit in or do as much as we had hoped.  Don’t fear.  Still looking for fun?  Below are the festivals and activities of late Summer across the great nation.  Be sure to check them out:

Longwoodstock – August 11, 2017 – August 12, 2017 – Nanaimo, B.C.: “Love hot sunny days and a cold craft beer? How about music to go along with it? Heading into it’s 25th year, the Salmon Arm ROOTS&BLUES festival long ago established itself as one of the summer destination spots for fans and lovers of music ranging from Blues to Bluegrass, Celtic to Cuban and Americana to Afro-beat. From humble beginnings of stand alone folk shows in Salmon Arm community halls, ROOTS&BLUES grew into a major western Canadian outdoor event that has played host to patrons from all over western Canada and the Pacific North West.”


Chalk Art Festival – August 11, 2017 – August 13, 2017 – Medicine Hat, Alberta:  “Calling artists of all calibre’s. Get ready to check out a new kind of art. Medicine Hat is dusting off the sidewalks and inviting everyone to try their hand at chalk art.
